The orginal uses supple, top-grade leather and other materials, and is probably made in Italy or the like, so the craftsmanship is unreal. The replicas most likely are regular leather (if they are even leather at all), with cheap gold plating over nickel for the clasp/zipper pull. Plus it will probably fall apart after a month because in many ofthese cheap Chinese factories the level of detail and workmanship just is not there. But you get what you pay for!

Certainly the quality of the original Hermes are way higher than any of the replicas, and thus the higher price tag. I see there are several to choose from at the eBay store below. This may give you a better idea about the differences.

Well for starters a true Hermes handbag can range in price from $4,000.00 to $20,000 dollars. So, the 1st obvious reason is price. Secondly, the quality will be very different but I personally think it is ridiculous for anyone to spend such a ridiculous amount of money on a handbag.
If you want the look get the replica and save your money.
